I already got Twitter integrated with Facebook.

Now, let’s see if I can get WordPress to work with FB.

This is just a test post to see if I got my WordPress blog integrated with FB.

Stack Overflow. The Answer for Programmers?

While reading random news articles today, I came across the Stack Overflow site which is now in public beta mode.

The site is founded by Joel Spolsky of Joel on Software, and Jeff Atwood of Coding Horror.

It is very much like Yahoo! Answers.  The difference is most users in Stack Overflow have a technical background so you’re programming question would most likely get an answer here than in Yahoo! Answers.

Hopefully, this site would grow huge as this really benefits a lot of programmers like me.

And, we could just ignore the Google result for Experts Exchange which requires payment to see the answer.

TGIF

Finally, it’s Friday! whew!

It’s been pretty busy at work lately, but thankfully it looks like the dust has started to settle.

Three things I have in mind this weekend.

  1. Hopefully, finalize the logo for Phlist.comHappy Garaje already made great logo proposals.  I just requested a few adjustments to make it look more “patriotic”.
  2. Going to attend a wedding this Sunday.
  3. Number 2 means I’m going to miss the fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Joel Casamayor.  Hopefully, I could see a recorded version of it.  This is really a good match up between two superbly technical boxers.  I would rather watch this fight than the coming fight between Pacquiao and Dela Hoya as I think that fight is made just for profit$.

How to be a Programmer: A Short, Comprehensive Summary

Programming is like Kung-Fu. To be a master requires patience, perseverance, and temperance.
Here’s a great article on how to be kung-fu master of the geeks.

To be a good programmer is difficult and noble. The hardest part of making real a collective vision of a software project is dealing with one’s coworkers and customers. Writing computer programs is important and takes great intelligence and skill.

Good Enough for Government Work

I don’t think this is taken from our country (Philippines).  But, it’s comforting to know we’re not alone in having an incompetent government whereever this is.

The real WWF

I appreciate and admire the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) for all their efforts in preserving the environment but this is just too funny to pass up.
